Rain is keeping me up tonight. I have been thinking all day about  how lucky I am to have such amazing children, and husband. Amazing family and friends in Minnesota, who I love and miss. Amazing new friends here in Washington who have accepted us as their family, and is a privelege to know and love. Each one brings me some different kind of joy, but It is all bundled into this big overflowing bucket of emotion. Where to start...? I wish I had more time to talk about everyone who I appreciate and love, but I am just going to brim the surface..

My Gorgeous daughter Brooklyn  just makes me tear up lately because she is looking like such a little lady. She has a great big beautiful heart, and so much love and kindness to spread. She is such a mother hen with her brothers and sisters (often telling me who did what to who, and THAT one took THAT one's toy and now they both are fist- fighting...you get the point) She has a tremendous wave of teenism comin on lately, and it's freakin me out. I don't want her to grow up!! But she keeps tellin me She "grows more each day, I can't help it", with a little snicker. She is very smart, and sometimes that doesn't put a smile on my face, but I have learned to embrace that she is her own little human being (come'on lena let it go!). She is the person who changed my life for the good, and I will never forget that, nor will I forget how much happiness she has brought me.

My cute spunky Belize who makes everyone smile no matter what. She just has that spark, that contagious laugh & giggle, that way of making you feel like you are the only one on the planet that matters, and you believe you are. Always telling me that she 'will never leave me' and wants to 'live next door' with her husband (hehe) just makes me smile so big! Sadly, I know she will leave someday, but I am going to savor each moment she gives me as a treasure. She brightens up my life so much, with her crazy humor, and her pure sweetness. I adore how much passion and free-sprited goodness she has inside.

My snuggle bug Zealand who makes me appreciate having a boy amidst all these girls..He is such a sweet little boy. Anyone who meets him can see he is sooooo tender and calm and relaxed and cool. There isn't a mean bone in his body. He is caring and always shares (which is strange for kids). But he just wants to be a good friend, and help people. Just thinkin about him makes me  just want to squeeze him all day and not let go!  I can't believe how sweet a little boy can be...believe me, I was not expecting that!  =D  The best thing is he always holds my face sweetly and  tells me Im beautiful and it makes me melt.

My sweet and sassy  Sahara is at such a fun age! Everyone has said "terrible twos" and all, but I love two yr olds.   Sahara is sucha character, and quite a chatterbox! She loves meeting new people, and says "hi" to everyone on the street. When she is naughty and gets disciplined, She does this sad face that just breaks your heart, the whole face seems to turn upside down with wrinkles..She knows how to push her limits, and she can really tell ya how she feels by a look or a wail, but I love that she is passionate and quirky! She really is so tenderhearted and loving. I am happy she is my last. Its a good ending.

 I am fortunate to have such a amazing dad for my kids.He is everything I can't be. He has so much patience with them, and teaches them so much. He is so humble, and kind. He inspires me to be a better person. I am happy he puts up with me (thats saying alot *wink*) and I love him so much for everything he does for his family. Also for letting me go after my dream job, and helping me thru the good, the bad and the ugly. (Mostly ALL of it good! Teehee)  We have been thru alot in these 11yrs and I think we deserve cupcakes. Just bring em over anytime :)

Together we make up this crazy family that just makes sense.

So, Here is a family I would like to feature cuz They are GREAT!

 They are the sweeeeetest family ever! ♥ Lori and Richard both successfully work hard to change people's lives & have alot to be proud of ..BUT Their family is what to be most proud of! They have amazing kids & an amazing love for eachother. For Lack of another phrase: They are picture perfect :) I was privileged to photograph them and preserve the memories of their family. ♥

These two were sooo fun to play with!

 Believe it or not, it has been hard to find time to blog lately. Summer always seems to be that way, doesn't it? This last week, my kids started hitting the books again {1st grade & Kindergarten-sniff }. So It will be a little easier on me during the days. I am actually looking forward to it. Don't get me wrong, I had my day of sobbing with tissue as I watched my second child wave goodbye to me and march off determined to Kindergarten. But, I am actually happy for her, She is so excited to learn. I love that about my kids. I don't remember being like that, I always hated school. Anyway, my point is: With two kiddos at home now and two at school, I will try to keep up the blog more this year. So, thats my goal for the business, that among many other goals in life. 

This entry is devoted to sweet moments in a family. You are never going to have this moment ever ever again {Don't mean to depress you}. Each fleeting day just rolls into months and then into years. You will look back and ask, "What happened?" Thats why I encourage families to get that family portrait. Don't stress about it. Don't worry about details, I will work on that. Just make the appointment and document this year, this month, this day. You will not regret it. Because If you think about it, would you rather have those expensive higheels you were eye'in up at Macy's or a portrait of your family to have for years to come, being who you are at this very moment in time.

Think about it.

And now for the pictures. This Beautiful family arranged to meet in Seattle, Sculpture Gardens. Perfect Day. Perfect Location. Perfect shoot.

These brothers were so fun! The oldest was super talkative and playful, the youngest was shy and quiet. Both were very sweet, and as you can see photogenic! I heard all about Wii games, and school, and what their favorite animals and toys were. I had a blast getting to know them.

Here are just a bunch of the many great shots from this a family session. We had so much fun!! I loved watching them with their new family member Penelope 1 month old {They were so enthralled by her cuteness..and who wouldn't be?}. There is something about a new baby, and capturing the parents so in love. Being in awe of their every sound, and look, and coo. It is fantastic!
